1) Why did you decide to join Jim’s Pest Control?
Having spent my entire working life in a manufacturing environment, when the opportunity to work under a reputable brand and manage my own business, meet different people and experience different situations (challenges!) every day, I took it!

3) Tell us about your Family?
My wife Carolyn and I have been married for 29 wonderful years. We have two adult children; Natalie and Shaun. We also have a Kelpie named Zac.
4) What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy the outdoors; camping with family and friends, evenings at the beach, and growing my own vegies in our vegie garden. I also love the footy and follow the Crows.
5) What tips can you give to customers?
Don’t wait! Act as soon as you identify a pest control issue as this will limit potential property damage and provide best opportunity to eliminate the problem quickly.
6) What has been one of your most interesting jobs?
My first Cockroach call out would have to be the most interesting and rewarding job so far. On arrival I was amazed at the scale of infestation throughout the property; every door every hinge! My client, the property owner, doubted my pitch ‘2 weeks they will all be gone’, rewarding for me was his gratitude that I had delivered on my pitch two weeks earlier.
7) How has your Jim’s Pest Control Franchise been for you since joining?
My Vision Statement is ‘I will provide a personable quality service to all my customers. I am committed to respond to the needs of every customer with sincerity and integrity. My customers will create customers’. I have operated true to my Vision Statement since joining Jims’ and in return my customers have supported me in my business in showing gratitude, patience, humour and recommending me to their family and friends.
8) Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
Growing my customer base and having a strong business presence in my community.
9) Pest issues that you find in your local community.
Living close to the lake and ocean obviously increases mosquito activity, particularly in the warmer months. Spiders are a common issue both indoors and outdoors, as are Rodents.
